これらの方法を実践することで、食事の清潔さが保たれたり
肥満の抑制につながったりするため、
結果的に愛猫が健康でい続けることになるでしょう。
猫に食事を与える時間
猫はライフステージごとに食事の回数が変わる生き物です。
そのため、それに伴って食事の時間帯も変化していきます。
子猫や成猫、老猫でどのように食事の時間帯が変わるのかについて、
以下にまとめたので是非参考にしてください。
子猫の場合は食事の時間を多く設定する
子猫の場合、生後5か月ごろまでは1日の食事回数を4回に設定する事をオススメします。
この時期の猫の胃はまだ発達途中にあるので、一遍に多くの量の食事を消化するのが困難です。
ですので、だいたい朝、昼、夕方、夜といった時間間隔でご飯を与えましょう。
それに加えて、体重をしっかり測りながら体重に見合う量のフードを与えることも重要です。
食べたいだけ食べさせてしまうと肥満体質になってしまい、将来太りやすくなってしまいます。
肥満になると様々な疾病の原因になります。
肥満になりやすいかどうかは実は子猫の時期の食生活も大いに関係しています。
成猫の場合
生後5か月以降、離乳食から一般的なキャットフードに切り替えできたら食事回数は2回にしましょう。
原則、朝と夜に1回ずつ与えることをオススメします。
ただし、猫によっては成猫になってからも一度に沢山食べられない猫もいるため、

もしくは朝、昼、晩、夜中などに設定してもOKです。
飼い主さんのライフスタイルに合わせて、食事を与えられる時間を決定しましょう。

決まった時間に餌を与えているにも関わらず、
所定の時間外に餌を求められた場合はどうすればいいのか？
その対処法としては下記の方法が挙げられます。
- 遊んであげる
- 食事の回数を増やす
- 食器を早食い防止用に変える
- 少量のドライフードを与える
もし、求められるがままに餌を与え続けてしまうと、
あっという間に肥満になってしまいます。
そうさせないためにも、飼い主さんは
心を鬼にして食事の時間をしっかり管理する必要があります。
